Crossroads is a Christian community where love and acceptance is expressed, reflecting God’s unconditional love for His world. Our relationship with God and each other is only restored in Jesus. We value clear Bible teaching which focuses on Jesus our Saviour and Lord.
We have a mix of younger and older people who fellowship together. As you will see there are activities for younger kids youth and families. We meet during the week in Growth Groups to share, pray and support each other. These are great times to look a little more deeply into what we’ve looked at on Sundays from the Bible.
Every person has a valuable contribution to make. We want to help people find their place, and the part they can play in bringing encouragement to others and receive blessing themselves. We enjoy being together and also meeting new people. We seek to have a very friendly, open time together that encourages others and help those seeking an understanding of Christianity.
The people at Crossroads are a typical bunch of people who in many ways have nothing special about them. At times we rejoice and at times we hurt or are disappointed. We struggle with many of life's difficult issues, just like others around us. Yet there is one thing that sets us apart - as Christians we share the most profound experience imaginable - God has forgiven us. Everything we do as a church flows out of what God has done for us in Jesus Christ. It's truly life changing and it's a message we long to share with everyone. We’d love to meet you!
CRECHE
For the convenience of parents, a Creche for Preschool aged children and babies operates during our Sunday morning service.
kids church
Kids Church is for those in Kindy to Yr 6. It runs on Sunday afternoons at our 3:00pm Church Service, in school terms. Kids and adults all join together for the first 15-20 minutes of the Church service.
After afternoon tea children go out to Kids’ Church, where they enjoy age-appropriate Bible Teaching, songs, activities, craft and games.
All those working with Youth and Children in our church receive training in safe church practices and are cleared to work with children by the Office of the Children’s Guardian, NSW Government. For more information visit Breaking the Silence.
GROWTH groupS
We consider ourselves as a church community of small groups. We call them Growth Groups. Our mission statement is about growth - Growing followers of Jesus who know Christ and make Him known.
3 things are important :
(1) Part of our time is spent meditating and thinking on the BIBLE . Each of the groups use a study guide prepared to look further at the passage/book of the Bible etc that was studied on the Sunday before. It’s important to be sure that we are thinking about the Bible in order to spur one another on to love and good works. How then shall we live? There can be rich growth as we come together.
(2) Secondly Growth Groups aim to develop relationship. Growth Group should be a safe place to share and care for each other. While it is our hope that everyone in our church would join a Growth Group the reality of life means that not everyone will/can be a part of a group. We work hard to make sure these groups don’t become cliques. We’re encouraging people to team up and do ministry together and look after each other. To share the difficulties and joys .. to offer the support and appropriate pastoral care through our groups. As groups we can think about how to connect with our non Christian friends, family and community
(3) Thirdly, Growth Groups are also committed to prayer. As we share and pray for each other there is a sense of working together. Bonding together. Praying for our church community and it’s ministries, for our missionaries for the community, for outreach into our local community.
DURING THE
WEEK
"So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him,
strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.”
Colossians 2:6-7
